Cloud continuity takes the same complete-server image Bitrieve is known for and sends it straight to our Canadian cloud, with no backup server on-site. If a server or laptop dies, we spin it up in the cloud and your team connects to it from wherever they are. Recovery is measured in hours instead of minutes, because everything has to travel over your internet connection.
Typically 4–24 hours depending on the size of the server and your internet speed. Cloud virtualization can be faster than a full download when a site is lost entirely.
How it works

Agent installs on each server and workstation
A small Bitrieve agent images the whole machine — Windows, applications, settings and data — not just files. Backups run as often as every hour.
Backups travel encrypted to the Canadian cloud
Everything is encrypted before it leaves the device and stays encrypted at rest. Nothing is stored outside Canada.
Every backup is screenshot-verified
Each night the latest image is booted in the cloud and a screenshot of the Windows lock screen is emailed to you as proof it restores.
When something fails, we virtualize it in the cloud
Your server runs as a virtual machine in our data centre. Staff connect over the internet and keep working while we rebuild or replace the hardware.
Restore back on-site when you're ready
Once replacement hardware is in place we bring the server home, either by download or by shipping a seeded drive for large systems.

What it doesn't do
- No backup server on-site, so there is no local, instant virtualization
- Recovery speed is limited by your internet connection
- Large servers may take a day or more to bring back on-site
